All New Hampshire Corporations and LLCs Must File: 

  • Articles of Incorporation
    File your Articles of Incorporation or Certificate of Formation with the New Hampshire Secretary of State. It costs $100 to form a New Hampshire corporation or LLC.
  • Beneficial Ownership Information Report
    Nearly all businesses formed by filing with the state of New Hampshire must file a federal Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Report with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) following business formation.   • Annual Report. New Hampshire corporations and LLCs must file their annual report by April 1. The Filing fee for corporations and LLCs is $100.

New Hampshire Business Taxes

Personal Income Tax
New Hampshire does not have an individual income tax. New Hampshire does have business taxes as well as a dividends and interest tax.

Business Profits Tax
All for profit businesses and organizations with at least $50,000 in gross business income have to pay the Business Profits Tax. For taxable periods ending before December 31, 2016, the tax rate is 8.5%. For taxable periods ending on or after December 31, 2016, the tax rate is 8.2%. For taxable periods ending on or after December 31, 2018, the tax rate is 7.9%

Business Enterprise Tax
Certain businesses also have to pay the BET. For taxable periods ending on or after December 31, 2015, enterprises with Gross receipts in excess of $207,000 or an enterprise value tax base greater than $103,000 must file a Business Enterprise Tax return.

The tax rate for taxable periods ending before December 31, 2016 is 0.75%. The tax rate for taxable periods ending on or after December 31, 2016 is 0.72%. The tax rate taxable periods ending on or after December 31, 2018 will be reduced to 0.675%.

New Hampshire Business License

You do not need a state license to do business in New Hampshire. You will need to get any professional or local licenses/permits required for your business activities.
